Rev. Wil Sarog / Lead Pastor
Pastor Wil Sarog is an Ordained Elder in the Church of the Nazarene. He became the lead pastor at Burlnaz in April of 2018. He is happily married to his wife, Shirley, and they have 3 children ages 25, 21 & 17. Wil and Shirley have worked many years together in the urban ministry setting in the Philadelphia area; feeding the homeless, working at food banks, community children's and teen ministries, and have taught Math, English, Religion, and History together at a private Nazarene Christian school in the Philadelphia area. Pastor Wil is also a certified Grant Writer. Wil was born in Cleveland, Ohio but grew up in the Philadelphia area when his family moved there in the mid 1980's. He attended Calvary Baptist Academy, where he graduated, then attended college at Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Massachusetts where he studied Psychology/Social Relations. His former occupations include: social worker in city of Philadelphia, private school History teacher, and sales. He became ordained in the Philadelphia District in April of 2024 with his closest family, local church, district and past friends present.

Pastor Wil has a passion for reaching people with the gospel of Jesus Christ. His desire is to see everyone encounter Christ in a deep, personal way.

He enjoys: spending time with his wife and children, playing and loving on his grandson, playing sports, connecting with people, handy work, going to the beach, spending time in Lancaster Pa with Shirley, prayer, helping people realize who they are in Christ and their God-given potential. He is always open to new ways of impacting the surrounding community, for its betterment and for the furthering of the gospel.
Shirley Sarog/Administrative Assistant/Baby Steps Director/Children's Coordinator.
Shirley is Pastor Wil's wife and is the Administrative Assistant of Burlnaz. She grew up in the country lands of South Jersey, in between bayshores and farmland. She oversees the day-to-day business operations. She is the founder/director of our outreach ministry, Baby Steps, and the Director of the Children's Ministry department, where she disciples and mentors the youth with a desire to help serve alongside the children. Shirley has a passion for helping families in addiction, and currently is the chair/leader of Candle Light Recovery - a Wednesday night NarAnon group. She is a Drug and Alcohol Treatment Specialist, a Recovery Coach, with a love for helping people, but her favorite role of all is a Mama to her and Pastor Wil's 3 children, and an Oma to her sweet grandsons. She has a strong background in administration, and loves to serve her community.

In her free time, she enjoys: the beach, Lancaster, spending time with family, being in nature in any weather, natural living, baking sourdough, going on hikes, fitness, taking adventure trips with her husband, watching sunrises and sunsets, meeting up with friends, and spending time at her favorite coffee shops.
